How the automation of textile production impacted the business

Opting for Brazilian technology was a decision that Supertex made after meeting Delta Máquinas Têxteis at Colombiatex, one of the largest fairs in the textile sector in Latin America. At the event, the conglomerate realized that it could optimize some processes and add quality to the final product with the Delta Relaxer.

The acquisition of Relaxers was part of the company’s Innovation Program, created in 2018. Here the objective was to expand production capacity and guarantee high levels of quality to products. Daniel Herrera, project director at Supertex Group, highlights the quantitative and qualitative benefits of the solution:

We had savings of 34% no working time between relaxing and cutting materials. Previously, 10 professionals worked on the relaxation and width measurement process. Now there are 7.

With the arrival of the second relaxation machine at our factory in El Salvador, we estimate the time savings to be 50%.

As a result, only 5 professionals will need to be allocated to this process. The quality of the automatically relaxed material is also superior to the manual process “.
