Company focused on developing clothing items for adult females, has units in Brusque (SC) and Paraguay. Results were achieved through the automation of production processes through the adoption of proofreader, relaxer and sample washer
With more than three decades in the market, more than 160 employees and expertise in the production of adult women’s clothing, KFK is a Brazilian textile company with a focus on private label. The company, which has two units in Brusque (SC) and one unit in Paraguay, was experiencing a high concentration of costs due to the poor quality of already sewn products. To change this scenario, it invested in the acquisition of industrial production automation solutions from Delta Máquinas.
“In the past, we had a large concentration of our non-quality cost (CNQ) on already sewn products, which prevented us from obtaining financial compensation from our raw material suppliers, as we had already transformed the product. We work with raw materials with high added value, and this cost had a strong impact on our financial results”, details KFK’s industrial manager, Allan Maurici.
Delta’s solutions were recommended by Renner stores, a KFK business partner, and the company adopted three solutions: the REV170 Inspector, which allows the identification of defects originating in the previous stages of the manufacturing process, facilitating the inspection of the fabric and the classification/identification of defects through the software; the RLX600 Relaxer, which eliminates the traditional rest required before cutting the fabric, providing instant relaxation on the fabric roll, in addition to capturing relevant data on the input, which can be integrated into the company’s ERP; and the Speed Wash Sample Washer, which provides rapid testing of fabric shrinkage, replacing domestic washing and drying equipment and is capable of completing in approximately 20 minutes the process that can originally take up to three hours and reduces water consumption by up to 80%, making the process more economical and sustainable, in addition to reducing waste.
With the machines, in addition to agility in the production process, quality became a positive factor for KFK. The company has already reduced its costs by 50% before using the solutions, according to the CNQ index. “Now, 100% of the rolls that enter the factory are inspected, and any problems are detected and addressed with suppliers before we transform the inputs into the final product. In addition, the relaxer has mitigated our problems with fabric shrinkage after cutting. We have practically eliminated this issue. And the sample washer has greatly streamlined the batch release process in the laboratory, in addition to significantly reducing environmental impacts: saving water, energy and raw materials,” reinforces the KFK executive.
Fábio Kreutzfeld, CEO of Delta, says that in addition to the results proven by the customer, the positive evaluation endorses the company’s launch plans. “The development of each of the solutions is based on the routine of the textile industry. We are always attentive to the challenges and listening to the feedback our customers provide. The result is a portfolio that is highly aligned with the needs of the textile chain in Latin America,” he says.
For the company, the assertive partnership with Delta extends to other points, including the after-sales process, as the company responds to suggestions for improvement and supports the implementation of each solution, for better results. For 2023, KFK continues to invest in its operations, especially in the plant located in Paraguay, and believes that process innovation with solutions such as Delta’s is crucial for good business results. “We strongly believe that this partnership can yield new acquisitions in subsequent years,” concludes Allan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iI0q2bN2pnI Quer contar com soluções tecnológicas capazes de elevar a produtividade da sua indústria têxtil?
